The hotel, seminar hotel and restaurant Ammerhauser is nestled in the beautiful village setting of Anthering. The family business has characterized our village since 1902 and is now run by Maria Ammerhauser in the second generation.
With 30 employees who have been working together for many years and are a well-coordinated team, guests are offered perfect all-round service. “It’s important to always act professionally as a family business,” says Ms. Ammerhauser. All of her employees put their heart and soul into their work. “We have to do what we do with a lot of passion, because that’s exactly what our guests feel,” explains Ms. Ammerhauser.
She remembers a funny story: one day, a guest arrived with his secretary and booked two single rooms. The chambermaid noticed that one of the rooms had never been used. When the wife arrived unexpectedly, the secretary’s luggage was quickly and discreetly taken to her actual room. All-round service deluxe!
The team offers the best possible service for seminar guests, restaurant guests and vacationers in an absolute feel-good atmosphere. It is particularly important to Maria Ammerhauser to offer services at a high level: “We don’t want to get bigger, we want to further increase our high quality.” With this credo, it is no wonder that the Hotel Ammerhauser has often been voted “Austria’s best seminar hotel”. “We see this as a mandate to continue to work harder,” says Ms. Ammerhauser proudly. In order to achieve this, a lot has been rebuilt and renovated in recent years. Most recently, the small but exquisite relaxation and vitality area in the hotel was renovated. Holidaymakers and seminar guests can use it to relax and burn off energy.

Varied vacation with many cultural highlights
Vacations in Anthering are something very special: Anthering’s greatest opportunity, but of course also its weakness, is its relative obscurity. Holidaymakers have a wide range of leisure options here: Cycling tours, right from the front door, mountain hikes or walks through the Antheringer Au provide variety. The swimming pool is also right behind the hotel. Of course, Anthering is perfect for a city trip to Salzburg. You can reach the festival city in just 15 minutes on the local train. A wide range of cultural activities await you there, such as the world-famous Salzburg Festival at Easter and in summer. Numerous museums, events such as concerts, theater performances or operas and many different attractions for families can also be discovered here.

Be pampered in the Ammerhauser restaurant
The Ammerhauser restaurant is a special insider tip for Anthering and Salzburg locals: the view of the mountain landscape from the conservatory or guest garden is simply indescribable. Guests are spoiled in the restaurant with exceptional culinary creations. Only fresh and regional products are used in the cooking. If you really want to indulge yourself, you should definitely stop by for the Kaiser breakfast. This takes place every first Sunday of the month and on special occasions such as Valentine’s Day or Easter.
In the interview, Ms. Ammerhauser also told us what her guests should not miss out on in Anthering: The Salzburg oil mill and the beautiful SonnenMoor grocery store are definitely worth a visit.
